e-Platform at JEC World 2018

As a result of a collaboration agreement reached by ADAMANT, TECPAR and TECNALIA the PLATFORM will be present at JEC World in Paris – the only trade show that unites the global composite industry: an indication of the industry’s commitment to an international platform where users can find a full spectrum of processes, new materials, and composite solutions.

The commercial platform, e-Platform, will have a booth where the products and services will be presented to the potential clients. We are evaluating the possibility to bring a demonstrator to the fair, a physical prove of the high TRL achieved during the project thanks to the effort and close collaboration shown between all partners during the whole project life.

20-21.03.2018 (Warsaw)

7th  EASN Conference „Innovation in European Aeronautics Research

TECPAR gave a presentation on “Nano enabled products containing carbon nanotubes as innovative aerostructures”. The conference included plenary talks by renowned guests and roundtable discussions with key-figures from the academia, industry, research community and policy makers. It was designed to foster the cooperation and interaction between participants on multidisciplinary basis serving as a platform for sharing research activities and exchanging novel ideas for future research with a relative pan-European and global audience. The event presented an excellent opportunity for networking and creating new synergies for future collaborations on a bilateral basis or in the frame of multilateral projects.

European Materials Research Society (EMRS) Fall Meeting

TECPAR gave an oral presentation on “Application of nano enabled products in CFRP” at symposium dedicated to Advanced composite materials: new production technologies, unique properties, new applications. The conference organized by EMRS consisted of 23 parallel symposia with invited speakers, oral and poster presentations and a plenary session to provide an international forum for discussing recent advances in the field of materials science.

25th Annual International Conference on Composites/Nano Engineering  ICCE 25

TECPAR took part in one of the most popular scientific events in Europe by giving an oral presentation on “Characterization of nonwovens containing carbon nanotubes” and also chairing one of the sessions related to nonwovens. This conference covered a broad range of topics and had more than 2000 participants from all around the world, which presented an excellent opportunity to meet partners for the future projects related to composites and nano-engineering.

 EuroNanoForum 2017

TECNALIA participated in Session 14 “Pilot lines for industrial implementation” presenting pilot line activities and their role in creating the crucial link between invention and the market. Open Infrastructures bring together, integrate on European scale and open up key national and regional research infrastructures to all European researchers, from both academia and industry, ensuring their optimal use and joint development.

 MatComp 2017

FIDAMC and TECNALIA representatives had the opportunity to present PLATFORM focused on the integration of CNTs based materials in current infusion processes used in the aeronautic sector at MatComp 2017, the national Congress of Composites Materials held in San Sebastian, Spain.

International Poznań Fair. “Innovations-Technologies-Machines”

TMDK and TECPAR presented Platform project at the international conference organized by FSNT-NOT. The topic of this Engineering Forum was diverse and included innovation in various technical fields in important sectors and industries for the Polish economy. One of the main important issues in the conference was “Sources and forms of support for the processes of reindustrialisation of the Polish industry”, in which Dr. Tomasz Kośmider – the President of the Partners Technology Foundation, participated.

TECPAR took part in INDEX’17- world’s leading nonwovens exhibition. This huge industry platform allowed to seek competitive insights among 580 exhibitors and learn about the latest technologies from the dynamic nonwovens industry. It was an opportunity to participate in the seminars about applications of nonwovens in different industrial sectors.

JEC 2017

ELEMENT’s team was representing the PLATFORM project at JEC World 2017 International Composites Event in Paris and distributing leaflets and the press release with the latest news on Nano-enabled Composite Solutions and Services ePLATFORM.

TECNALIA presented PLATFORM project at the “Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials Pilot Projects Test – beds for industry and private investments” workshop.
The Directorate-General for Research and Innovation co-organized with the government of the Basque Country a specific workshop during the NANOSPAIN 2017 week. The workshop brought together:

  • Industry: medium and large companies, SMEs and start-ups
  • Private investors
  • Coordinators, exploitation leaders, pilot line developers and key industrial partners from running Horizon 2020 pilot projects and FP7 pilot projects
  • Delegates from technology centres and other relevant key stakeholders
  • Regional representatives

TECNALIA presented PLATFORM project at “Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials for Regional Growth – The Challenge of upscaling” workshop held in Brussels. Tecnalia was invited to present the PLATFORM project as a concrete case of existing pilot lines.

The workshop aimed at discussing and exploring synergies between H2020 and ESIF that could support the uptake of the nanotech and advanced materials pilot lines and their services in order to boost regional investments and new business.

The workshop brought together:

  • Regional Authorities which have smart specialization strategies dealing with nanotechnology and advanced materials and/or have Horizon 2020 pilot lines in the region. Special attention will be given to including regions from EU13.
  • Coordinators, exploitation leaders, pilot line developers and key industrial partners from running Horizon 2020 pilot projects and FP7 pilot projects.
  • Other relevant key stakeholders

One of the main conclusions of the workshop was the need to engage industry, SME’s, public and private investors in dialogue with the consortia that have completed or are running projects on pilot lines. The purpose is to develop a favourable ecosystem for materials upscaling. This in turn will support regional growth through fast deployment of new technologies.
